Receptionist - Casual On-call 

Location: Elgin Mills Cemetery, Richmond Hill

 

The Successful Candidate Will be Required to:

  • Greet visitors to the Cemetery and Funeral Centre;
  • Answer a high volume of incoming calls and provide accurate information to callers;
  • Route phone and in-person inquiries to the appropriate staff members and take accurate messages when necessary;
  • Process payments, service requests, wreath orders and special care orders;
  • Be flexible to work at other locations as required;
  • Perform other sundry duties as assigned.

 

Days and Hours of Work:

  • Every other Saturday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.;
  • Opportunities for more shifts as required;
  • Additional shifts will include statutory holidays.

 

Qualifications:
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills;
  • Proven ability to provide efficient and professional customer service;
  • A valid Ontario Class “G” driver’s license and clean driving record;
  • Professional demeanour;
  • Commitment to detail and accuracy;
  • Hands-on experience with Windows and MS Office.

Receptionist - Contract Full-time (3 Months - Possible Extensions)

Location:  York Cemetery, North York.

 

The Successful Candidate Will be Required to:

  • Greet visitors to the Cemetery and Funeral Centre;
  • Answer a high volume of incoming calls and provide accurate information to callers;
  • Route phone and in-person inquiries to the appropriate staff members and take accurate messages when necessary;
  • Create documents, receipts and invoices;
  • Complete assigned clerical work as volume of reception area allows;
  • Process payments, service requests, wreath orders and special care orders;
  • Perform other sundry duties as assigned.

 

Days and Hours of Work:

  • Week 1: Monday to Saturday;
  • Week 2: Monday to Thursday;
  • 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

 

Qualifications:

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills;
  • Proven ability to provide efficient and professional customer service;

  • Commitment to detail and accuracy;
  • Hands-on experience with Windows and MS Office.

Family Service Clerk - Contract Full-time (3 Months - Possible Extensions)

Location:  York Cemetery, North York.

 

The Successful Candidate Will be Required to:

  • Process memorial orders; create documents, receipts, invoices, foundation and setting orders, etc.;
  • Maintain existing reports supporting the Team;
  • Create and process Purchase Orders;
  • Reconcile and prepare daily bank deposits and various reports when required;
  • Order and receive office supplies when required;
  • Maintain stock of collateral material as required;
  • Scan and index cemetery documents as required;
  • Relieve receptionist as required;
  • Perform other sundry duties as assigned.

 

Days and Hours of Work:

  • Week 1: Monday to Saturday;
  • Week 2: Monday to Thursday;
  • 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

 

Qualifications:

  • Commitment to detail and accuracy;
  • A valid Ontario “G” driver’s license and acceptable driver’s abstract;
  • The successful applicant must obtain a Sales Representative Licence upon hire;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Team player;
  • Ability to multi-task in a busy office environment;
  • Experience working with MS Office as well as standard office equipment.
