Union Position - Full-time Mechanic

Location: Equipment Maintenance Shop, Scarborough

 

The Successful Candidate will be Required to:

  • Repair equipment and machinery including small engines, landscaping equipment, light trucks, backhoes, gas and diesel powered vehicles;
  • Perform services on electrical, hydraulic, power train, suspension and brakes;
  • Perform computer connection/diagnosis with scan tool machine to identify fault codes;
  • Perform annual certifications on company vehicles;
  • Travel between various sites within the GTA for service calls (company vehicle provided);
  • Perform other sundry duties as required.

 

Days and Hours of Work:

  • Monday to Friday, 8:00a.m. to 4:30p.m.;
  • 40 hours per week.

 

Qualifications:

  • Valid Ontario Mechanic’s Licence 310S Certification; in addition, 310T is an asset;
  • Valid Ontario “G” Driver’s Licence and satisfactory Driver’s Abstract;
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working in the automotive field with the ability to work with a range of vehicles and equipment;
  • Must be familiar with the Ontario Health & Safety Act, Highway Traffic Act, and other applicable legislation and industry standards;
  • Able to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing;
  • Basic computer skills: able to use internet;
  • Must be willing to learn, or have experience with, welding and fabrication.

Junior Project Manager - Permanent, Full-time

Location: Overlea Boulevard, Toronto

 

The Successful Candidate will be Required to:

  • Work in a team environment to coordinate assigned development projects;
  • Schedule and coordinate engineering/architectural consultant services;
  • Prepare and administer tenders or requests for quotations and provide analysis of submitted bids;
  • Carry out contract administration and field supervision for assigned projects and ensure conformity with approved drawings and specifications;
  • Adhere to established budgetary controls for assigned projects;
  • Track contract deficiencies and coordinate corrective action to ensure proper completion of contracts and arrange for handover to end users;
  • Ensure projects are completed with minimal disruption to operations;
  • Interact with external contractors, consultants, suppliers, municipal authorities, internal user groups and all levels of management as required;
  • Perform sundry duties as assigned by the Director, Development.

 

Days and Hours of Work:

  • Monday to Friday;
  • 37.5 hours per week;
  • Overtime may occasionally be required due to business needs.

 

Qualifications:

  • Degree / Diploma / Certificate in one of the following streams: Architecture/Engineering, Construction Science & Management OR equivalent combination of work experience, training and education;
  • 2 - 5 years of relevant project coordination experience in the construction field, including planning, design and construction, interpreting and applying contract plans and specifications, and coordinating contracted construction projects;
  • Detailed knowledge of the construction tendering processes, standard forms of contract, construction management practices and cost tracking strategies;
  • A valid Ontario “G” driver’s license, acceptable driver’s abstract and vehicle for site visits;
  • Strong working knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook;
  • Proficient in the use of AutoCAD (2010 or higher);
  • Working knowledge of construction industry legislation (OBC, city by-laws, OHSA, etc);
  • Detail-oriented and able to multitask in a deadline based environment.

Business Systems Analyst - Permanent, Full-time

Location: Overlea Boulevard, Toronto

 

Specific Accountabilities Include:

  • Manage IT software request and reporting system. Review programming, table change and information requests for Navision and other applications with user management, process improvement manager and staff requesting them;
  • Act as a subject matter expert on Navision system, Document Management and MS office functions;
  • Identify the cause of various software issues in Navision and assist in implementation of software fixes;
  • Prepare and facilitate communications of programming specifications and requirements between users and external programmers;
  • Assist users to identify changes needed to existing business practices to ensure software changes work as expected;
  • Work with project teams to prepare test plans and cases and perform preliminary testing on software;
  • Ensure the user testing process is within acceptable risk levels and recommends implementation to project team lead;
  • Act as the central contact point for dealing with issues after implementation of new software or changes;
  • Work with project team members and management across functional groups to agree on scope, objectives, priorities, requirements, alternative approaches, deliverables, and work plans;
  • Represent IT on task forces, as required;
  • Prepare project status reports for management for select task forces; identify and escalate project issues to project team lead;
  • Act as a resource for users to determine the feasibility and scope of proposed projects/enhancements;
  • Other duties as assigned by Director, Corporate Financial Services.

 

Days and Hours of Work:

  • Monday through Friday;
  • 37.5 hours a week;
  • Overtime may occasionally be required due to business needs.

  

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a university/community college degree in computer science or business preferred and/or equivalent work experience;
  • Experience in Navision 2016 ERP System;
  • Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Tester or similar role;
  • Working knowledge of test management software;
  • Knowledge of Power BI or Jet Reports is an asset;
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in leading or supporting project teams with a proven track record;
  • Ability to translate business requirements into programming requirements;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate across all levels within, as well as, outside the organization;
  • Effective problem solving skills as well as the ability to plan and prioritize work activities.
